Disclosures

The plain facts about the legal position: who operates CoresRent, who owns the machines, and what a share is not. Read this before you deposit.

These are the plain facts about the legal position. Read them, and What can go wrong, before you deposit.

Who we are

CoresRent is operated by CoresRent Labs Ltd., a company registered in England and Wales. The machines are owned by CR Machines SPV I Ltd., a special purpose vehicle registered in Jersey. Shares bought through CoresRent represent interests in that SPV and are recorded against your wallet by the Subscription contract. You can reach us at hello@cores.rent. CoresRent Labs Ltd. has its registered office in London; the SPV's registered office is in St Helier, Jersey.

Capital at risk

Your capital is at risk. The value of your shares and the rent they earn can fall as well as rise, and you may get back less than you put in, or nothing. GPUs lose value over time, and part of every payout is your own capital being returned.

Not a bank deposit

A CoresRent share is not a bank deposit, and neither is your CoresRent balance, which is USDC held for you by the Subscription contract on Ethereum. Neither is covered by the UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme or any other deposit guarantee scheme. Neither CoresRent Labs nor the SPV is a bank.

No guaranteed yield

There is no guaranteed yield, rent or return. Rent depends on whether AI companies rent the machines, at what price, and on costs that can rise. Past rent, including any figure shown on this site, does not predict future rent.

Not investment advice

Nothing on this site is investment, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, hold or redeem anything. It explains how the product works. If you are not sure whether it is right for you, speak to a qualified adviser.

Figures on this site

Who can take part

Access to deposits depends on where you live, and some people will not be able to take part. Deposits are open to residents of the EU, the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Singapore and the UAE who pass identity checks. Residents of the United States, Canada, mainland China and sanctioned countries cannot deposit, and UK residents must certify as high net worth or sophisticated investors. Shares cannot be passed to anyone else, and holding them may be restricted where the law requires it.

Tax

You are responsible for any tax on rent you receive and on redemptions. How it is taxed depends on where you live. In most countries rent is taxed as income when it is credited to you, and redemptions as a gain or loss against what you paid. Each January we send every holder a statement of the rent they received and their redemptions, in USDC and in their local currency at each day's rate. This is not tax advice.

Changes

We may update these docs as the product and the law change. The date at the foot of each page shows when it was last reviewed. Material changes to fees, redemption terms or the record format are announced at least 30 days before they take effect.
